Hi,
I stumbled across your blog the other day whilst searching for info about the “Best Chairs Swivel Glider Recliner- Benji” and I was hoping you might be able to tell me what fabric you chose? Because we love the colour of it.
Any help would be most appreciated,
Many thanks,
Ben Laing
Hi Justine, I’ve been recently trying to figure out how to make my “perfect” farmhouse table with hairpin legs, and came across your post from 2012. I love how your table has 3 horizontal pieces and was wondering what you ended up using to stabilize the table. You mentioned reinforcing it with metal, but I was curious what you guys ended up deciding on. Also, I love the liming wax look, how is that holding up?
Anyway, congrats on the little one and thanks so much!
Lauren
hi, lauren. thanks for visiting! we ended up putting several pieces of angle iron on the underside of the table; in the corners and in the middle. i was concerned you would be able to see them, but you really can’t, unless you’re eye level with the table or on the floor, since they’re only about an inch wide and set back from the edges. the liming wax has held up great, though i do recommend regular wax on top to seal it, which i still have to do myself. good luck!
