happy valentine’s day from henry

twice in one day! it’s a record. but i just had an impromptu photo shoot and he’s just so darling so i wanted to share (and me editing so fast is another record). his big blue eyes just melt me. sorry for the henry overload; perhaps i should rename my blog to ‘all henry all the time’.

note to self: next time, make the heart out of a heavy cardboard. also: wear deodorant – holy sweat fest photoshoot with a moving babe (because, um, i’m still in my pj shirt and deodorant isn’t usually applied until i actually get dressed).

six months

the day after christmas my sweet boy turned six months.

which means in another blink he’ll be a year.

that raising his arms thing for someone to pick him up? ridiculously cute. it melts your heart. and then crushes it when he’s with you and then does it to someone else

now two weeks into his seventh month, he’s been working on his standing skills, and tries to stand everywhere, including the bathtub (danger!). he’s also been working on his sitting up skills – he did it once the other week for me, and then nothing until yesterday while with my mom – twice! i’m impatiently waiting for him to do it again. thank goodness i am officially a stay-at-home-mom so i can be home to witness all the milestones he’s going to have in the next few months. it’s amazing seeing him learn new things right before my eyes.

the holidays are over? let’s pretend they’re not? let’s do that by looking at the requisite cute-baby-with-christmas-lights photos? ok.

(i wish i had better natural light in my apartment? or a camera with better low light sensitivity to eliminate the slight blur? but i will still cherish these forever? yes. yes. double yes.)

five months

i blinked and henry’s five months old. and in another half a blink it will be christmas, henry’s first christmas, the christmas i thought about while he was still in my belly. and the day after that christmas he will be six months old, a whole half a year. i’m off to figure out how to slow down time…
